Privacy Policy

Account information. WriteRight requires you to sign in with Google. We receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google — we never see or store your Google password.

Payment information.Because payment is handled manually via bKash and Nagad “Send Money,” we collect only the mobile number you paid from and the transaction ID (TrxID) you submit so we can verify it against our statement. We never collect your bKash/Nagad PIN, OTP, or full account credentials, and we do not process or store card numbers or bank account details.

License & subscription data. Once a payment is approved, we generate a unique license key tied to your account and record your subscription status and renewal dates.

Content you submit for AI processing. When you use a writing action (grammar fix, tone change, translation, summarize, screenshot analysis, etc.), the selected text or image is sent to our backend and forwarded to an AI provider to generate a response. This content is processed in memory to produce your result and is not stored in our database afterward.

Usage & device data. We may log basic technical information (such as timestamps, IP address, and request metadata) for security, abuse prevention, and debugging purposes.

• To authenticate you and keep your subscription in sync across devices.
• To verify manual bKash/Nagad payments and activate or renew your subscription.
• To generate and validate your license key and gate access to the extension.
• To process your writing requests and return AI-generated results.
• To detect fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
• To communicate with you about your account, payments, or service updates.

WriteRight uses Google Gemini as its primary AI provider and Groq as a fallback when the primary provider is unavailable. The text or screenshot you submit for a given action is sent to whichever provider handles that request solely to generate your result. We do not sell this content, and we do not use it to train our own models. Each provider processes this data under its own privacy policy and terms, which govern their handling of API requests independently of WriteRight:

• Google (Gemini API & Google Sign-In): governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Groq (fallback inference API): governed by Groq's Privacy Policy.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Account, subscription, and payment records are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by our infrastructure provider, and the Service is deployed on Vercel. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We restrict administrative access to payment and account data to authorized administrators only, and every administrative action is logged.

You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard's Settings section. Deleting your account deactivates your subscription and license key immediately. We retain payment and administrative-action records for a reasonable period afterward for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal-compliance purposes, even after account deletion.

To request full erasure of your personal data beyond what we are legally required to retain, email us at 0ne.abusayed@gmail.com and we will act on your request within a reasonable time.

Regardless of where you are located, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to or restrict certain processing; and request a portable copy of your data. If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, these rights are provided to you under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We use a single essential session cookie set by our authentication system to keep you signed in. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service.
